For this unique restaurant in Gastonia, NC, the owner was passionate about digging into the historical relevance of the building they were renovating. Originally developed as a movie theatre in 1927, the personality and architecture of the space inspired an Art Deco aesthetic for the brand direction.
Using Futura as a visual base, a classic typeface family that also happened to be minted in 1927, a play between new & old was at the heart of the story. The restaurant itself carries a nostalgic essence, so the supportive branding aimed to bring that to life.
